* This Unique silence sensor receiver can be used anywhere your station can be received with a clean signal (carrier noise looks like audio). Use in the office, studios, home, transmitter, or anyplace that requires the peace of mind that comes with knowing your station is still providing programming to your audience.

* Should a jock get locked out of the studio or the automation hang-up for two minutes, the alarm will alert you, then automatically reset and continue monitoring for the next "event."

* If audio remains off, the alarm condition remains on (until audio returns).

* If the time is set to a short interval (perhaps seconds), the PD is alerted to every second of dead air over that setting. This allows PDs to monitor without listening every minute.

The relay closure is a SPST reed relay (250ma/28vdc) that can be used to switch other alert devices (phone callouts, studio lamps, auxiliary tape machines, larger relays to switch large 110 vac loads or whatever your stations require. The relay function is quickly switched in or out with a side panel toggle switch. Connections are through a side panel terminal barrier strip. The alarm (piezo buzzer) is also switchable from side panel toggle switch. The time delay is easily set with a small screwdriver rear-panel adjustment. The cassette recorder/receiver is a Sony model CFM-10.
