Rejected by his mom at birth, through the grace of God WWER volunteers worked 24 hours a day to assist in saving Carson's life. Given little hope of surviving a full day, our vet has now nicknamed him "The Miracle Boy." He was not suppose to make it through the night! So, we brought him home where he could pass with those that loved him. We converted the tack room into a nursery and ran a wire for the IV, and settled in for the night to keep him comfortable. After a week moved in a futon, TV, microwave and small refrigerator. The next 3 months we took turns sleeping in the tack room and spent 24 hours/7 days a week with him, giving him his needed injections, changing out IV fluid, and cleaning up after him. Before long he was tearing things off the counters to find the container of red licorice. From a poor prognosis to a 5 year old, Carson is definitely our Miracle Boy, and the epitome of a mustang's spirit.
